Barrier is a display typeface inspired by a modern building. This monospace alphabet consist exclusively of capital letters based on a rectangular grid. The typeface was created only using different size trapeziums and lines that makes it resemble the chevron signs and barriers found in the street. It represents industrialisation, obstacle and enclosure.

An object that reveals a word, a word that encapsulates a year.
Each year since 2004 the Oxford English Dictionary has chosen a word of the year. This project tells the story of 10 objects associated with 1 word of the year from the past decade. Together they contain a bigger picture; the preoccupation and highlights of a country through words that belong to time.
